The Rope Systems Laboratory is structurally included in the Underground Structures Construction and Mining Technologies Center.
MAIN SCIENTIFIC DIRECTIONS:
- Development and analysis of new ropeway systems;
- Development and improvement of methods for continuous control of rope systems;
- Use of new materials in rope construction to increase their operating resources and technical characteristics;
- Large-scale ceiling using rope systems;
- Lightweight portable rope systems and structures;
- Alternative energy transport systems;
- Rope systems in bank protection structures;
- Сomposite rope-rod systems;
- Use of modern software in designing and calculating complex rope systems.
MATERIAL-TECHNICAL BASE:
The laboratory is equipped with a test bench for rope systems, modern laser, electric and magnetic measuring devices:
TRUPULSE360 laser rangefinder, Fluke - multifunction multimeter
range 1 km for electrom measurements
DEVELOPMENTS READY FOR COMMERCIALIZATION:
The following developments are ready for fabrication of pilot sample and field testing:
- Light duty cargo ropeways;
- Grounding anchor device;
- Device for testing anchor pulling force.
