The session of the presidium of the World Academy of Mining Sciences

On September 11-15 a.c., the session of the presidium of the World Academy of Mining Sciences was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. From Georgia, Nikoloz Chikhradze, the director of the Grigol Tsulukidze Mining Institute, as the president of the Georgian Academy of Mining Sciences and a member of the Presidium of the World Mining Academy, took part in the work of the session. Nikoloz Chikhradze made a report at the session of the Presidium on the topic: "Main scientific directions, achievements, challenges and perspectives of the Mining Institute". He provided the members of the presidium and the invited guests with information about the institute's scientific bases, equipment and personnel resources. In addition, he presented the possible topics that can be implemented jointly in different formats. Bilateral meetings were held with the delegations of different countries participating in the session.
A Memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Academies of Mining Sciences of Georgia and Mongolia at the session of the Presidium. From the Mongolian side the Memorandum was signed by the country's first president, currently the president of the Mongolian Academy of Mining Sciences, Professor P.Ochirbat.
