Business visit of the Director of the Institute N.Chikhradze to Kazakhstan within the framework of the grant project CARYS-19-2329
Nikoloz Chikhradze, Project Principal Investigator, Director of the Institute, was on a working visit to Kazakhstan from June 29 till July 4 to discuss the results of a grant project (CARYS 19-2329) funded by the World Bank and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, with the scientists and business circles, from June 30 till July 4 in Almaty and on 02 July 2021 in Nur-Sultan (Astana).
Nikoloz Chikhradze had business meetings in Almaty:
- at the Institute of Combustion Problems of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan with professor Zulkhair Mansurov and his research group;
- at the D.A. Kunayev Mining Institute of the Ministry of Innovation and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the director of the institute, Academician Nikoloz Buktukov;
- at the Kazakh-British Technical University with the Rector of the University, Professor Maratbek Gabdullin, representatives of the Administration, Academic Staff and the Department of Business and Innovation; Memorandum of Understanding between Kazakh-British Technical University and Grigol Tsulukidze Mining Institute was signed;
- with the director of the Institute of Metallurgy and Mineral Processing of Satbayev University, professor Bagdaulet Kenzhaliyev and representatives of the administration.
In Nur Sultan, prof. N.Chikhradze had meetings at the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences. In particular, he had business meetings with the President of the Academy, professor Nurlan Ryspanov, Academician-Secretaries of the Eurasian and Kazakh Academy of Mining Sciences, Academician A. Mukusheva and correspondent member of the Academy, Zh. Alpisbayeva. The President of the Academy presented Nikoloz Chikhradze with a diploma of a member of the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences.
The business trip was fully funded by Grant #CARYS 19-2329 funds.
