7th International Scientific-Practical Conference "THE DEVELOPMENT OF MINING AND GEOLOGY IS THE PRECONDITION FOR THE REVIVAL OF ECONOMY"

On September 23-24, 2021 at the Georgian Technical University the Mineralogical Society of Georgia, G. Tsulukidze Mining Insitute and Georgian Technical University held online 7th International Scientific-Practical Conference „The Development of Mining and Geology is the Precondition for the Revival of Economy”.
The general sponsor of the conference was the Rich Metals Group (RMG) companies.
The conference was welcomed by the Deputy Rector of GTU in the field of science, Professor Zurab Gasitashvili, President of the Mineralogical Society of Georgia, Professor Nodar Poporadze, Dean of the Mining-Geological Faculty, Professor Anzor Abshilava, Deputy Head of the National Environment Agency, Ms. Nana Zamtaradze, Director of G.Tsulukidze Mining Institute, Professor Nikoloz Chikhradze, Executive Director of "RMG" companies, Professor Tornike Lipartia, Director of the A. Janelidze Institute of Geology of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Professor Tamar Tsutsunava, Academician of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Levan Japaridze, Director of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, Professor Zurab Kakulia, Senior Professor of the Department of Geology of TSU Bezhan Tutberidze, Professor of the Mining-Geology Faculty Gela Machaidze.
At the conference the results of the important scientific research conducted over the past year were discussed, which is entirely related to the development and strengthening of geology as a field in Georgia. The presented scientific researches meet the future interests of the business companies operating in the field, as well as fully take into account the market demands. Recommendations and suggestions were developed by the organizations, speakers and the attending community during the conference, which will help to solve many problems and issues in geology and mining.
Out of 44 papers provided by the program of the 7th International Scientific-Practical Conference, 18 oral and 18 poster presentations were delivered. 8 presentations were not delivered due to some objective and subjective reasons. The materials of the selected papers will be published in the "Mining Journal".
